Our office is staffed by friendly, caring, competent professionals who are committed to ensuring that your experience is a positive one. Each staff member is committed to excellence and attends over 20 hours of continuing education seminars every year.

Office Administrator/Receptionist

Lori Shinton has been with the office since 1997. Her background includes customer service and accounting work for a large national communications firm. She has attended both George Mason and Northern Virginia Community College. Lori will greet you on your first call to the office and arrange an appointment time that is convenient for you. She is happy to explain what to expect as a new patient and to assist you in filing your insurance claims. She also handles all accounting and payment at the end of each visit.

Dental Assistant

Tonya Davis-Vassell (Dental Assistant)

Tonya is a native Washingtonian and recently joined our practice with a wealth of over 20 years experience on the dental field. She is a graduate of the Northern Virginia Community College Dental Assistants Program and has been certified in dental assisting. She assists Dr. Cram chairside during dental procedures, is certified to take dental x-rays, and is responsible for cleaning and maintaining the instruments used during your visit. Your safety and comfort are her first concern. She also instructs patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and is happy to explain what to expect before and after periodontal procedures

Dental Hygienists

Holly Smith, RDH recently relocated to the DC area and joined our staff. She is a graduate of North Carolina at Chapel Hill University with a B.S. degree in Biology. She also received her associate's degree in Dental Hygiene from Central Piedmont Community College in 2000. Holly performs maintenance recall (cleanings), scaling and deep cleaning treatments, localized antibiotic therapies, and dental x-rays on our patients. She takes numerous continuing education courses to keep up with the latest technology and innovations in periodontal therapy. Holly also volunteers in the community providing oral hygiene education at various elementary schools and senior citizen communities.
